Q. How do I find my Shared Transfer driver at Geneva Airport?
A. Look for the AlpineXpress representative in the Arrivals Hall in front of the yellow Geneva Airport information counter directly in front of you as you exit the baggage claim area. The driver will be holding a sign saying AlpineXpress. If you don’t find the driver immediately, please return to the meeting point and keep your mobile switched on to receive texts and calls so we can update you on the departure time of your shared transfer.
Q. What time will my AlpineXpress bus depart from Geneva Airport?
A. Our buses are scheduled to minimise waiting time. There is normally a short wait for passengers to arrive at the bus from different flights, but this is minimal, especially during peak ski season. In the event of a long wait, for example when flights are delayed, we will do our best to accommodate delayed passengers on a later bus service to minimise delays for passengers who have already arrived at the bus.
Q. Where is the Shared Transfer drop-off and pick-up point in Verbier?
A. In Verbier, our buses drop off and pick up from the Brunet bus-stop car park, close to restaurant Le Rouge. You can also book a taxi with us to meet you on arrival in Verbier and drop you off anywhere in town.
Q. Can I have a drop off / pick up in Le Châble?
A. Shared Transfer passengers may hop off in Le Châble at the Garage St Christophe Subaru Dealership and be picked-up there for the return to Geneva. Please advise your driver when boarding the bus at Geneva, as you will only be able to hop-off in Le Châble if your luggage is loaded last. For the return please note, the Garage St. Christophe is the ONLY stop we are allowed to make in Le Châble, so you must be waiting there when the bus passes by AND this MUST be noted in your reservation. We unfortunately cannot wait for latecomers so please be at the Garage at the scheduled bus departure time and expect the bus within 5-15 minutes. We cannot collect you elsewhere in Le Châble, so if you are not at the Garage when the bus passes, we will not be able to take you to Geneva Airport and your ticket will not be refunded.
Q. How much luggage can we bring?
A. Normally there is room for all your luggage including skis and snowboards. However, more than a large suitcase and a ski or snowboard bag might need to be transported in another vehicle at extra cost. Please note in your booking if you are travelling with skis / snowboard so we can ensure there is sufficient space for all passenger luggage.
Q. What kind of vehicle is the AlpineXpress shared transfer bus?
A. Most shared transfers are in minibuses. During peak season we occasionally use larger buses for shared transfers.
Q. If I arrive early to Geneva Airport, can I take an earlier bus?
A. If you arrive early, and there are seats available on an earlier AlpineXpress shared transfer, we will offer you a place on the earlier bus. There is no charge to change your ticket.
Q. What if my flight is delayed and I miss my AlpineXpress minibus to Verbier?
A. We will happily reschedule you to the next AlpineXpress shared transfer bus at no extra cost. If there are no available seats or if you’ve missed our last bus of the day, we will do our utmost to arrange alternative transport for you. This may involve some extra cost to you, but we will not leave you stranded. You must supply your flight number, origin airport and expected landing time in advance so we can track for any delays and adjust your onward travel to Verbier.
Q. Can I change the date, time, or other details of my AlpineXpress transfer?
A. With advance notice, we will change your booked transfer time at no extra cost. Please inform us of any changes as early as possible to give us the best chance of finding a solution.
